Baby Needs All Your Lovin'

My nephew J. Walter has spent his first 7 weeks in the NICU at Johnson City, and continues to endure multiple tests and surgeries to prepare him for the world! It's been a whirlwind for him, his parents Amanda (my sister) and John (my brother-in-law), and his big brother Bleu Harper. Staying by his bedside has been demanding and exhausting--physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually...but so rewarding to be able to spend time with this adorable boy!

The family could really use your help, though. They have run into a few more roadblocks than any would've anticipated. After exhausting all of his sick leave, John has had to take 3-4 weeks off work WITHOUT PAY to help with the 24-hour rotations. During the second and third weeks, Amanda was devastated to learn her back pain was actually shingles, and she wasn't cleared to be with J. Walter until they cleared up. She was heartbroken.
