It is that time of year again! :)
I will be competing for the title of Miss Massachusetts USA 2014 November 23-24, 2013 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. I was honored to have placed as last year's first runner up to the title of Miss Massachusetts USA and I am so excited to have the opportunity to compete again!
The Miss Massachusetts USA pageant is an official state competition to the prestigious Miss USA and Miss Universe Organizations. It has always been a dream of mine to compete on the Miss USA stage and I could not think of a better city to represent than the city I call home, Boston!
The Miss USA and Miss Universe Organizations empower young women to pursue their intellectual and professional goals while supporting charitable foundations and serving as a role model for those who look up to her. The women who compete in these pageants are savvy and goal-orientated both as individuals who compete in the pageants and as young women who serve others.
I am passionate about standing up to bullying and encouraging others to do the same. I was physically assaulted my junior year of highschool after fallen victim to cyber and verbal bullying and harassment. Since then, I have joined forces with Bully Free NH and NHBULLYWATCH.ORG for the past 5 years- and was thrilled to aid in the passing of NH's first anti-bullying law, HB1523. As Miss New Hampshire 2011, I was able to speak at over 300+ events throughout the state on the subject of bullying and was honored to be named as first-runner up to the Miss America 2012 Quality of Life award.
