$20,000 for Bethany's 40th

Donation protected
To all who call Bethany Terrell a friend (and that is a lot of people),

Bethany is turning 40 on February 22nd and we’re hoping to surprise her (and Seth) in a big way by raising $20,000 for them to renovate their kitchen and bathrooms!  In case you didn't catch that, THIS IS A SURPRISE, so please do not say anything to Seth or Bethany (but please share the link with anyone you want to but do not share on Facebook or other social media sites so Bethany doesn't see it).

Allison and I initially had this idea after sitting with the Terrells in their living room discussing all of Bethany's friend groups and how many friends she has.  And we were also discussing/dreaming what her new kitchen and living room could look like.  And the idea hit us on the way home.  Why don't we reach out to all her friends and all come together to give her the best 40th birthday present a girl could ask for?!?!

As you know, Seth and Bethany moved to Tuscaloosa, AL a couple of years ago to start Campus Outreach on the UA's campus.  And God provided them with an amazing house (that was built in 1974 and is definitely outdated but has good bones), on an amazing street, in an amazing area (with great schools).  But the house is in definite need of updating (they bought the house from the original family and it still has the original carpet and fixtures).  And that is where we all come in.

For $40,000 (we have talked with a contractor and didn't just use $40,000 since she's turning 40) we can help give them a newly designed kitchen, open up the main floor by taking out some walls, redoing the floors, and redoing the bathrooms.  This will definitely make their home even better for hosting students and furthering the kingdom.

In Philippians 4:11 Pauls says, "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."  Just to be clear, Seth and Bethany seem to be in a place of contentment where the Lord has them.  But Allison and I see this as an opportunity to bless them in this season of life.  We realize that many of you reading this already support the Terrells through Campus Outreach and I know they are truly grateful for this and I want to be clear that in no way do we want this campaign to take the place of your normal support.

Our goal is to have all the money raised by February 22nd and present to Bethany on February 23rd.

Legal Tax Jargon:  All money donated is considered a gift with nothing expected in return.  No gifts made through Go Fund Me are tax deductible (but they sure will make you feel good about doing something awesome!).
