Bennie's Emergency Vet Fund

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Jenni Field. I am the one who originally found our wee Bennie in the road, took her to the emergency vet, and then fostered her for ten months until Brandy O'Neill adopted her and Bennie moved from North Carolina to upstate New York!

As many of you know, Bennie is battling a systemic infection of some sort, the symptoms of which include dangerously low body temperature, high white blood cell count, low blood pressure and more. She is currently in the ICU at the VCA Animal Specialty and Emergency Center  in Wappingers Falls, NY. Benz is receiving excellent care, but emergency veterinary care is not cheap, and Brandy's bills are mounting.

Currently, the vet bill is hovering around $4000. It's my intention to raise$5000 since the bills will continue to mount because, although she is thankfully making improvements, she is not yet well enough to return home.

If you have been following Bennie's story from the beginning, you know what a special and tough little girl she is. Weighing in at 1.5 pounds when we found her, lying in a pool of blood on the road, we barely got her to the emergency vet here in Raleigh in time. After spending a weekend with them, she was stable enough to come to our house so we could foster her. The head injury she sustained as a wee kitten stunted her growth, and at almost 2 years old, she weighs in at a whopping 4.5 pounds.

Although she is tiny, she is fierce. She is opinionated (I love treats. I hate cuddles), and has won the hearts of people all over the world through instagram and posts on facebook. As Benz transitioned to New York, many have continued to follow her story, and many more people have become fans. She is a funny, grumpy, precious little girl, and she needs our help. So do her mom and dad.

It can be very hard to ask for help when we need it, so I am making this plea on behalf of Brandy, Art and Our Wee Benz.

Please give what you can to help defray the high cost of Bennie's vet stay, and if you cannot give monetarily, please share this page and wee Bennie's story with your circle of followers.

The need is immediate, and we are all hoping and praying Bennie can come home in the next day or two. Anything you can give is sincerely appreciated, and 100% of the money will go straight to Brandy and Art to pay for the expert care Bennie is receiving at VCA.
