Calais- Together we are change

In December 2015  I could no longer sit and watch as governments and charities did nothing as people starved and froze 30 miles from our shores.  I went to join the volunteers in the Calais Jungle, building shelters for refugees.   What I saw there was too hard to describe over a pint to everyone who wanted to know.  So I wrote about my experiences and shared them.  I never meant to write a book, but requests for more insight, a responsibility to share the truth and as a personal therapy, I continued to write.  

I have now written and published a book, following the first four weeks I spent in the Jungle, over the winter.  It follows the daily work in the jungle, the people I met and their struggle for a life without fear.  I  continued to return to the jungle after I had written all that I needed to.   I will return again soon to visit my friends and help where I'm needed.   I will endeavour to do all that I can to help the displaced refugees of the Jungle, they are our brothers and sisters. 

All the profits from the book will go to improving the quality of life of the men, women and children of the Calais jungle.  Thank you for your help and once you have read it, please give it to a friend and share the truth.
