Lets help Kelsey

Donation protected
This is Kelsey, Mommy to Abbott, 22 months old.  Wife to Jeff,  and loved and adored by many other family and friends.  Kelsey is 27 and she has cancer…again.

Kelsey and Jeff are high school sweethearts., married in May 2014 and welcomed their son Abbott in September 2016.  Life was great and going according to their plan.  While Kelsey was on maternity leave with her baby boy she discovered a lump in her breast.  May 30th 2017 was a day they wont forget.  Kelsey got the news that she had stage 4 breast cancer.  She immediately started a rigorous regime of chemotherapy to treat the tumor followed by a mastectomy.  The mastectomy surgery was followed by 30 grueling sessions of radiation therapy that ended on December 27th 2017 when she got to ring the bell to signify her treatment was over!

2018 started great!  Jeff, Kelsey and Abbott were enjoying a normal, happy family life.  Kelsey even went back to work.  However 6 months later have brought us here.  July 3 2018 Kelsey was admitted to the hospital with breathing issues, thought to be pneumonia however further testing has showed that another cancerous mass has developed and pushing on her heart and lung.  As if this news was not bad enough…further scans and tests have revealed the worst case scenario,  it it's in her brain as well.

Kelsey is strong.  She has beat this monster once already, but at this moment her thoughts and time are with her son, husband and family.  Kelsey has limited energy and mobility and while she is going to be persuing every possible and available procedure to try and beat this monster again. Her wish is to spend as much time as possible with her loved ones.  Kelsey is currently at home and her husband Jeff has taken a leave of absence from work to assist Kelsey at home.  This leaves the young Oliveira family with a significant reduction in income.  Our wish for Kelsey and Jeff is to raise enough money that they do not need to worry about the financial impact that loss of income/employment has on them and their day to day living expenses/bills.  Kelsey and Jeff are truly selfless people…she single handedly raised $25,000 for the CIBC run for the cure in September of 2017 because she felt so strongly that she wanted to make a difference for other cancer patients/survivors .  All while she was still going through treatment.  Now is our time to help her and her family.  100% of all of your donations, minus the GoFund me processing fees, will be going towards Jeff and Kelsey and Abbott to be able to give them precious time together.  This is one less stressor we wish for them…to take the financial burden off for as long as we can.  Please consider donating to this young, beautiful family and even if you cant, please keep Kelsey in your thoughts and prayers.
