Angie's Medical Expenses

I am very hesitant in posting this because I have always been so strong and independent  but I have to set all pride aside and tell my story.  Well here it goes.   I am the face of an invisible disease.  If I had a dollar for every time someone says "WOW you look great you don't look sick at all" I could retire today.  I finally discovered that my normal is not normal at all.  I wake up every morning not knowing if my body will allow me to function.  I may be fine one minute and severely ill doubled over in pain the next.  Fatigue is extreme and unexplainable.  My body takes over and crashes.  People may think I am lazy, friends think I am blowing them off and coworkers don't understand why I miss so much work.   Crohns has made me a prisoner to my home.  Crohns disease has taken away my confidence, my independence, my career, my pride and my future stability.  I had it all planned out and life took over.   The last 8 months have been a true test.  I have lived with this debilitating disease most of my adult life trying to smile and continue as if nothing is wrong but Crohns took over yet again and humbled me.  I was out of work from November 18 2015 to February 25th 2016 and went back to work against doctors advice  and did my very best but yet again life steps in. May 23rd of 2016 was the turning point for Crohns to show me just how strong it is.  I am a single mother and the only source of income for my home.  I have several medical procedures in the near future with stacked bills unpaid.  This disease unfortunately has been winning but I am not giving up.. I am asking for help.  I have realized that I can't win this fight alone and appreciate you taking time to read my story..Thank you!
