Aaron’s recovery!

Back in November Aaron wasn’t feeling quite right, so we ended up in the ER. Where we found out his platelets were low. We were referred to an  hematologist where he had his first Bone Marrow biopsy, it came back  inconclusive. So again we were referred to Carolina East Medical center, where he did another Bone Marrow biopsy, again the results came back inconclusive. Aaron really started looking bad around this time and we went back to the Doctor, where they took his blood his platelets were down to 14,000. And all his other blood counts were dangerously low as well, so they sent us to the UNC cancer hospital where he was admitted for 5 days, and did a platelet transfusion and ANOTHER bone marrow biopsy, they finally got the results they needed to diagnosis him with MDS  (Myelodysplastic syndrome) it’s a form of bone marrow cancer. He will be starting chemo therapy March 4th. We are looking to use a fertility bank so we can have kids one day. The only issue is our insurance company doesn’t cover 80% of all the fees.  If anyone would like to donate the funds will be going towards the cost  associate  With our fertility needs.
