Marty to Duke Basketball Game

Hi everyone! A lot of you at Duke probably recognize the security guard, Marty, from Perkins. He works the night shift, from 11pm to around 8am. After talking with him about his experience in the Vietnam War (receiving the Bronze Medal and Purple Heart) and being a first-responder to 9/11, we started talking about his interest in sports. Despite working at Duke for 12 years and being a huge Duke basketball fan, Marty has never been to a Duke basketball game. We wanted to thank him for his service to our country and our school by buying him two tickets to see Duke take on Florida State at Cameron on Thursday, February 25.
