Get me to Kenya 2018

Hello! My name is Kaylee Ferguson and I'm a Junior in high school trying to go to Kenya!

Two years ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Cambodia with my youth group at Horizon Community Church. This was by far the most eye opening experience of my life. We stayed in Cambodia for two weeks, traveling between 3 different cities/villages, visiting schools and organizations. We taught english, spoke about the Bible, preformed skits for the kids, played lots of games, and just loved people!

Spending two weeks in a third world country is beyond humbling. It really put into perspective how blessed we are, and how much we take for granted. Common things like drinking water from the sink, flushing a toilet, having AC, sleeping in a bed, and bathing in a shower are not available there. But yet, I've never met such happy people.

This summer my church is hosting another missions trip, but this time to Kenya, Africa.

I want to go to Kenya because I know God is doing great things, and I want to experience as much of His work as possible. After traveling internationally once, I just want to see more. I want to experience culture and people, and humble myself. It is important to me to step outside of my comfort zone and explore everything that's out there.
