Help Courtney Battle Breast Cancer

My sister Courtney is many things: a vibrant and beautiful 36-year-old woman, a loving mother of a charismatic 6-year-old boy, talented, creative, funny, politically engaged and a voracious reader. In December 2015, she also became the 1 of 8 women who are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

While her diagnosis was a shocking and emotional revelation for my entire family, Courtney is unimaginably strong and has remained unrelentingly positive about her diagnosis. She is currently undergoing treatment and has been chronicling her experiences, fears, struggles and triumphs throughout this process on Facebook here.

The costs involved in battling and surviving cancer is staggering, despite being the least of a survivors concerns.  Loss of work and mounting medical bills can create a very challenging situation for anyone, especially a single mother.  Many of the members of my family's amazing network of friends have expressed a desire to assist Courtney during this difficult time.  In response, we have created this Go Fund Me page. 

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will used to help pay for Courtney's treatment and medications, as well as any other unanticipated costs.
