Patricia (Pat) Reed Medical Fund

Patricia (Pat) Reed underwent brain surgery on February 16, 2016 to remove a cancerous brain tumor.  Due to the nature of the tumor, it was likely not completely removed.  Testing was done on part of the tumor to reveal that she has a Glioblastoma ( GBM ‌), which is a very aggressive form of brain cancer.  Pat will be given time to recover from surgery and then undergo many months of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation.  She will hopefully be coming back to Fort Wayne for rehab sometime this week, while waiting for treatments to start. Pat’s husband, Rick, and her daughter, Ashley, have been staying in Indianapolis with Pat since her surgery.  As one could imagine, the hotel bills, eating away from home, being off work, and medical bills will add up fast.  The family was also in the process of planning Ashley, Pat's only child's, wedding for June 2016 when the diagnosis came. Any money donated will be used to make sure Pat is as happy and comfortable as possible as she fights this disease.
