In Need Of A Miracle For Julie

Donation protected
Julie a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a granddaughter, and a dear friend has been struggling for the past 5 years with a life threatening disease. Anyone who knows her knows that she has the kindest heart, she is by far one of the friendliest person you could ever meet. She always has a smile on her face, no matter what the day is and what she might be going through. A chronic digestive disorder was diagnosed to her a couple of years ago, leading to the removal of her large intestine, which left her with an Ileostomy. Due to this condition she has been losing tremendous amounts of weight as time progresses. Her body is not absorbing the nutrients and vitamins she eats, which has led her to be below her normal weight average. As a result of her colon being removed she was then diagnosed with having high levels of anemia. The anemia further compromised her health condition and led her to stop eating, she couldn’t help keep anything down her throat. This led her to be going in and out of the hospital on a regular basis, where it was later found that she had an eating disorder. As diagnostic studies were further evaluated, it was then also found that she had Leukemia. She has been a survivor of this blood cancer for the last 2 years and continues to fight her battle to overcome it. She is currently getting chemotherapies once a week at the hospital. These chemotherapies really add up to all her pain and suffering. She has been hospitalized multiple times throughout these past couple of years trying to find a cure to her health conditions. She has been treated at Parkland Hospital in Texas, throughout the years considering that they take Medicaid. She has been through massive, painful procedures and unfortunately doctors are unable of find a reason to why her hemoglobin (blood) levels drop so low, to the point where she gets blood transfusions every 2-3 months. The normal lab values for a hemoglobin range from 13.8 to 17.2 g/dl and she has dropped to 5 g/dl and even lower. Julie has been so close to leaving us, but she is a strong women who keeps fighting for her life and does not surrender. On her last hospital visit to Parkland, she was sent home by the doctors with nothing else to be done for her. Health care providers have recommended for family members to seek medical attention from other specialist in other states or even outside the U.S. to see if they can save her life, Parkland has lost hope for her. Parkland suggested a doctor who is currently in Ohio State to see her, but he does not accept the government insurance she is currently on. The insurance she is on is the ONLY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE she has. Doctors have prohibited her from traveling because she has no defenses and is too weak to travel. She was told she is at a very high risk of collapsing at any moment due to her leukemia and lack of blood. We are trying to raise funds to have this doctor come to Texas and see her, to see what other treatments are available for her. We will use the funds raised for the treatment and the cost of having the doctor come down to Texas as well as any other medical bills that will be inquired. She was told she has a short time left to live and she could DIE anytime soon. Our only hope is getting this doctor from Ohio to come evaluate her and save her life. This hope is what keeps her motivated to keep fighting for her life and her family does not lose hope either. She has her whole life ahead of herself and is doing everything possible to LIVE.Her condition is devastating and is affecting everyone around her. We want everyone to know how special she is and know how appreciated a donation of any amount would be. We are praying and sending so much love to her and her family. Please consider donating, every little bit helps and would be highly appreciated. All funds will go towards Julie’s Medical care and her road for a Miracle recovery. Thank you so much in advance! May God bless you.
