Prayers For Karson

Karson was born October 17,2016 to Kierra Wiggins and Marcus SmIth. He weighed in at 7lbs 14oz. He is such a a Happy baby, always smiling. Karson lives with his mother Kierra and his aunt Miefsha in winona ms. On April 3 his aunt notice a knot on his stomach, as she was speaking. To her mother she notice the knot was getting bigger. They rushed him to the doctors in grenada. While at the doctor's office they performed an ultrasound. Hey notice a large mass in his abdomen. The doctors asked if they would like to go to Blair E Baston children hospital in Jackson or st Jude in Memphis. They chose to bring him to Jackson. After a couple days Kierra was informed that the tumor was large and couldn't be removed by surgery due to the fear of damaging other organs in his abdomen. She was informed that he has Rhabdomyosarcoma, and the cancer would have to be removed with Chemotherapy and radiation. On Thursday April 13,2017 karson was transferred to St Jude in Memphis Tn, where he is now for treatment . Karson has a long journey ahead of him. 52 weeks of Chemo. He had his first chemo on April 21. He is doing good so far with his chemo. We appreciate all the prayers, the phone calls, text, and visits.Hospital stays are very expensive and being away from home and not being able to work is very stressful along with having a sick child.
