Help Support Michele In His Fight!

The Stagliano family is made up of courage, support, strength, positivity and most importantly, LOVE. This is a family that has been faced with and overcome incredibly difficult obstacles over the past 6 years and through it all, have remained a pillar of strength. After Rose battled and overcame her 5 year fight with Lymphoma, her husband, Michele was shockingly diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer (hilar cholangiocarcinoma) in May of 2015. He underwent a difficult yet successful surgery and slowly but surely, recovered fully. Unfortunately, in April 2016 routine scans showed recurrence and metastasis of the disease. While this was heart wrenching news, the family did what they do best, stayed strong and positive. Michele began his chemotherapy treatments almost immediately after discovering the cancer had returned and to date has been responding quite well. While the treatment is keeping the cancer at bay, it is not a cure and can take its toll on the body. For this reason, Michele has made the decision to seek alternative and groundbreaking treatment in Germany for the next 4 months. I am Michele's niece Marisa and I am starting this fundraiser because I am a strong believer in these incredible treatments offered overseas. Unfortunately, there is no form of insurance coverage when seeking these treatments outside of Canada and therefore, I have started this fundraiser in hopes that it will alleviate the financial burden for the family. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to Michele's cancer treatment and will greatly assist the family on their long journey ahead.
