Stomach Cancer At 35, Joe Phipps

My name is Joe Phipps. I am 35 year old self employed general contractor, a husband and a father of two amazing kids. I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer on 03/07/17 after a trip to the emergency room for stomach pains. The oncologist at kaiser hospital told me that this is a rare cancer and extra rare due to my age but that my only option is chemo treatments. The oncologist told me that with the chemo treatments she could not tell me how long I have. So Imagine being told you have no other option for treatments even though I am relatively young, all my blood work is normal and I am in overall good health. Then to be told that Kaiser will not pay for me to have a second opinion from a out of network specialist. If I want a second opinion I will have to pay out of pocket because my coverage will not pay for it. Cancer doesn't wait and neither can I!!!! I am liquidating everything I own but need help while things sale. This fund is for me to get treatment at the Cancer Center of America where they specialize in stomach cancer and will do EVERYTHING they can to save my life! Not just tell me I have one option and that's it. This fund will pay for all the treatment I can find that insurance will not cover because I will not except there is only one choice for my life.
