WOHCDC: Help Us Help the Community

The Well of Hope Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit organization located in the city of Paterson, NJ.  We offer an array of services to a population in need, all for free.  We serve the homeless population through our Drop-In Center that is open Monday through Friday.  We offer showers, food, telephone services, and assistance with referrals as needed.  We offer free and confidential HIV testing and counseling, as well as have a Nurse on staff who offers a plethora of services, all free of charge.  We have a Minority AIDS Initiative department that is funded through Ryan White; this grant is specifically allocated to Blacks and Hispanics diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and provides them with transportation, case management, and substance abuse counseling just to name a few.

We are raising money so that we can better serve our clients.  We will use the money to buy clothing, food, toiletries, and other necessities.  Monies raised will be used to obtain client's identifying documents, i.e. their birth certificates.  The sooner we receive the funds the better.  The Well of Hope is in the process of moving to a larger location with more opportunity for additional services needed in the community.  However, this move places demands on financial resources that would be alleviated with donations.

Although we receive funding, this funding is not enough to meet the demands of our ever growing population.  Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.  Help us help the community, be the hope you wish to see in the world.
