Shadow's Leash Awareness Fund

Shadow is my partner's childhood dog. He was out for a walk with grandpa and was brutally attacked by an unleashed dog. The other dog attacked him before he could even make it down the stairs of the apartment. Shadow has undergone 2 surgeries one of which occurred yesterday. He had internal injuries as well as spinal injuries. He is now battling a bad skin infection. He was touch and go for a while, but he is a survivor and a fighter! The owner of the dog which attacked Shadow grabbed his dog after the attack and has no longer been seen. The HOA is hiding the video tape of the attack as well. The once recorded tape is now no longer there. The police have nothing to work with and now my partner is left with over $5000 in medical debt and a dog which needs constant bandage changes and medication. She is too proud to ask for help and has taken out credit cards to pay for these expenses. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated and anything over the amount of medical bills will be donated to non profit animal rescue services. Please leash your dogs and be aware of your surroundings when you are taking your babies on walks. It is a sad situation but some owners do not train and respect leash laws. :-(
