In Memory of Curtis James Ficarrotta

On the afternoon of Sunday, June 23, my brother Curtis Ficarrotta drowned at Lake Mead. While boating with his friends, Curtis fell into the water, and was unable to be rescued. He was only 30 years old.
Curtis was an amazing father"” he is survived by his fiance, Tara Weber, their son Cameron Jace, aged 14 months, and Skylar Rae, their daughter-to-be, due this November. He was an adventurous soul, loved the outdoors, and lived his life without regrets. In his last year, he has found new purpose for life in his son, Cameron, and days before he died, he found out that he was having a new baby girl.
I know I speak for my entire family that the last 48 hours since losing him have been the darkest of our lives, and his loss has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.
He also touched the lives of so many people throughout his short life. The outpouring of love and support for Curtis from his friends has been overwhelming, and have helped our family cope through these extremely difficult times. I'm setting this page up on behalf of Curtis, Tara, and their children.
We will be having a memorial service for Curtis on Tuesday, July 2 at 5pm at the Mt Charleston Lodge:
