Hello, my name is Shawn Kowalski.
My boy, Junior, has recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma. According to the Oncologist we've seen, Junior has an excellent chance at remission and a healthy, continued life as long as he's able to receive a weekly bout of chemo treatments. The treatments aren't cheap, but are doable with a little help...
Junior's story
My boy came to me almost 6 years ago. A little Bullmastiff baby full of piss and vinegar. Sweet, fearless, and full of curiosity. He would grow and accompany me on many adventures, always at my side. His fearlessness and curiosity never ceasing. Swimming, hiking, meeting new people... He is the ultimate "good boy". Always healthy, always up for the next adventure...
Sadly his next adventure, well, our next adventure, isn't a fun one.
The funds donated will go completely into his chemo treatment. He's scheduled once a week for them, and has currently been given one treatment on 2-20-2017.
He is currently happy and content. His pop is a little stressed out though. Junior has way too much life inside of him to be beaten down by something like this.
The reality. If he's not able to complete the chemo treatments, he would be placed on a strong steroid that would provide relief for a couple of weeks. Those steroids would shrink his enlarged lymphoid glands until the glands build a tolerance and balloon back up. At that point there aren't many options...
This type of cancer in dogs is no longer a death sentence, it doesn't have to be anyway. And Junior is a perfect candidate right now. His chest cavity and organs are currently clear of anything, by catching the cancer now his chance at remission is very high.
Help me get the ick out so he can go on many, many more adventures!
