Our Hearts are with Gina

On February 7th, Gina was taken to the hospital because she couldn't stand up or walk, kept tripping and was dizzy. An MRI confirmed a mass on her brain. Two days later, she underwent brain surgery and the neurosurgeon took a biopsy of the tumor. Gina was then diagnosed with glioblastoma, and her life, and the life of her family, has changed in the blink of an eye.  Looking ahead is overwhelming.  So we look up. We pray. We hope. We do not give up....and we live each day at a time and celebrate everything good thing each day, no matter how small. Mostly, we love. We love like there is no tomorrow. However, what does lie ahead is a lot of international and possibly US travel, hotel stays, treatment, therapies, medicines, holistic or alternative treatment options, daily living expenses wherever the Bahrenburgs will be, and probably a million unforseen needs to be met. These funds will be used to cover financial burdens that come up that we do not want Gina or her family to feel stressed about. With cancer, there is always a sense of urgency. However, with a GBM (glioblastoma), time is truly of the essence. We have been overwhelmed by so many people's offer to help, give, pray, or be here for all of us in any way possible. I am starting this account as one of the few things do to feel helpful when I feel so helpless. And to bless the person who has most blessed me in this life.
