Help Scout see!

This is Scout! He's an 18 month old labradoodle. He's 90 lbs, but we refer to him as the gentle giant due to his sweet and loving personality. He loves to snuggle and go run around at the park with his brother, Cooper. Recently we've been noticing changes in Scout's ability to see and a blue-ish cloud forming over his left eye. He has trouble finding his toys at home and catching the ball when we play fetch at the park. We recently took Scout to the vet and were told that he has a cataract in his left eye impairing his vision and there is a strong chance one is forming in his right eye. We learned that his cataract can be caused by multiple factors but is mostly likely due to genetics. The vet referred Scout to see an opthamologist to have a special test performed to determine whether or not he is a good candidate for cataract removal surgery. The cost of this test is $600-$800. If he is eligible for surgery it will cost an additional $3000. Due to Scout's young age, we really want him to have the best vision and quality of life that he can.
