Delivering Aid To Moldova

In May 2017 two CWU members Bethany Elstob &a Megan Griffiths will be taking part in a CWU Humanitarian Aid (CWUHA) convoy delivering aid to vulnerable families, rundown hospitals and disabled centre in the poorest country in Europe, Moldova... AND THEY NEED YOUR HELP! CWUHA was set up in 1995 in response to an appeal from trade unionists living in war torn Bosnia, in particular the town of Tuzla, the first convoy arrived in Tuzla in July 1995. The determination to deliver aid direct to those who needed it most, cutting out the risk of it falling into the hands of self-interest middlemen, set the agenda for every CWUHA convoy that was to follow. CWUHA are also unique in that it is run by unpaid Trade Union volunteers and pay no wages or honoraria. Items we need: Nappies, sanitary towels, wet wipesToothpaste, toothbrushesSoap, shampoo, deodorantFootballs, plastic toysColouring books, pens, pencils and crayonsHouse hold items, kettle, cutleryKids clothes between the age of 3-18Of course we know it can be difficult for people to go out and buy these items this is why we are setting up a go fund me account so that with the donations we can buy these items.
