Please Help My Childhood Dog, Angel

This is my dog Angel. She is the first puppy I ever got when I was about 7 years old. It was the happiest day of my life! I made a scrap book for her, I carried her around in a little basket for YEARS. She was always treated like a little princess and oh boy does she act like one too. From early on Angel had breathing problems (labored breathing for example) and the vets never thought anything serious of it. She once had bronchitis (constantly hacking up things) and had a bunch of medications that were super expensive when she was about 6 years old. As of about 3 or 4 days ago she has had this AWFUL hacking/honking sounding cough that happens about every 5 mins. I really really need to get her to a vet as I'm terrified her trachea has collapsed. I'm starting this goal off on just hopefully what he price of the visit and the medication will be but I've been reading on line that it's possible (since she's breathed weird her entire life) that she may have a U-Shaped trachea instead of a C-Shaped trachea and may need surgery which will be insanely expensive. Seriously ANYTHING would help I can't imagine not having my perfect little Angel happy and healthy and back on runs with me like she loves so much :( Thank you so much for reading and if you helped, thank you again.
