Lakota grandma needs help!

Tax deductible
It's day 5 of this post I believe. I still have visions of getting that new "used" vehicle, a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder. It is a 4/2 wheel drive. I believe it will become available in mid to late July. The amount posted here will not only buy the car, but will allow me to get it registered, get the tags, buy insurance and at least two new tires for each of them; the Pathfinder and a 1986 Ford F150 work truck that was donated three years ago.

As I stated in the earlier post, I need to pick up our first volunteers for 2013 in Rapid City, South Dakota and transport them back to the work site on Pine Ridge, a roughly 125 mile round trip, so this 1996 Nissan Pathfinder will do well to transport three International volunteers as well as their camping gear. For the last four years, we have managed to squeeze everyone in to the "mudbug", so it would be a bit of heaven to be able to spread out a bit.

What is a "Mudbug"? My sweet little 1992 Suzuki Swift was stuck in a huge mud bog in South Dakota. She was pushed out of the worst of it and went on to drive over and through the rest of it. Thereafter, she was christened the "mudbug". That was about four years ago and she continued to be of great service as my mini-RV, a delivery truck, hauling a four hundred pound roll of polyurethane bags, etc. She has been the "project working car" from the beginning picking up and returning international volunteers to the airport, doing the shopping for camp supplies, building materials, and groceries to total a minimum of 1,550 miles for the summer months. Now, she is in need of a rest from the heavy workload on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Susie needs undercarriage work, fender and hood and door replacements. Just this past summer, she was smashed into and now the new drivers door no longer opens and the new fender was totaled. I know that after this faithful service, it is time to retire Susie and keep her around town for shopping and errands. We have found a vehicle that we are seriously considering, but we need your help. Please help us get new transportation to continue our work on the earthen home building project.
