Emma's Dilemma

Donation protected

Allow me to introduce you to sweet Emma Grace. As you can see, Emma has a personality of her own. You may not be able to see in these pictures, but this precious 9 year old is suffering from cranial synostosis. This is a fb post from her mother regarding her current condition. "We just got done with meeting with the craniofacial team in Austin. Emma is going to have to have another surgery. The bottom of her skull is too small & does not allow any room for her brain. Therefore it is causing compression on her brain. The type of surgery she will have is called a distraction. The doctors will cut her skull open & attach a device to slowly expand her skull to allow more room for her brain. This will be done by turning the device twice a day for about a month. After the skull is expanded to the doctors satisfaction she will have to keep the device on for about 2-3 more months to allow the bones to set & heal. Then they will go back in to remove the hardware.
I was kinda expecting this news but was really hoping they were gonna tell me some alternative news." Shelly McCullar.   This surgery is scheduled for 10/7/15. Emma's medical expenses are paid, however, the traveling expenses and motel fees involved with going back and forth to Austin is not a covered expense. There will be multiple trips to and from Austin in order for Emma to recieve proper medical treatment. Her mother is a hard working single mother who suffers from multiple sclerosis, and is already struggling to make ends meet pay check by pay check. Please prayerfully consider donating to Emma's Dilemma. Thank you in advance!
