Alive And Waiting.....For New Lungs.

I have had a gofundme before. It was a wonderful source of support and a great platform for me to keep friends and family and even strangers informed of my journey. I am so thankful to all that participated in that page with both financial and spiritual support. I have had several people and groups ask me where they can help by continuing to support me and follow our daily life.... so I am starting up a new account. Although so many people are already aware of my story....here it is for those who may not know. I am a 44 year old mother of an extraordinary and beautiful 13 year old girl. I am a wife to a man who is is strong and amazing and he loves us both beyond his hearts capacity. I have Christ in my heart and I try and shine for Him in every way and He will never fail me. NEVER. I pray every day that God will give me the strength and grace to get through another day......and I am still here!! I have Alpha 1 antitrypsan deficiency. It's genetic. My liver has never produced the enzyme that protects the lungs on a daily basis. This lack of protection has destroyed my lungs by the age of 38. My initial diagnosis was 18% lung function, but now I have around 22-23%. I need a double lung transplant. Theres just no way around it. My insurance has changed 3 times in 6 years because the current plan I was I was "no longer available". The numbers of it all are as follows.... For our family of 3 we pay almost $800 premium. That in itself is so much money, but it's not that unbelievable because it is an individual plan since we work for ourselves. The thing that kills us is our deductable. We need to pay out of pocket $12,000.00 EACH. I need an infusion every week of antitrypsan which is around $1800. Dominic is an insulin dependent diabetic who has neuropathy and nearly lost his foot....and now wears a permanent boot EVERY DAY. Every sniffle and headache looms over our heads because it is the one that could break us. We work extremely hard every day and try not to live in fear of what tomorrow will bring. We trust God. His plan for us is perfect. I am so thankful and blessed...... Thank you for your prayers and for your ongoing support. Thank you for sharing this journey with me.
