Howdy. My name is Joe and I’m the 3D Printing Professor. I’ve been making 3D printing videos since 2012 and back then my videos were pretty rough. They were basically just some guy talking into a webcam about the cool projects and experiments I was doing with my 3D printer.
My videos have been getting steadily better since then as I’ve gotten better equipment and built a better space for it.
I’ve never had a lot of money to throw at this, either the videos or the 3D printers. You may not know this, but I didn’t buy my first 3D printer. I won it for my excellent 3D design skills, and I’m still using that printer to this day. That's kinda the way I do things, just making due with what I have, and I've done pretty good with that.
When I lost my job after relocating my family, and then had my computer crash, I turned to you all, and you provided me with the support I needed to get some equipment to improve my videos
While this helps, the road ahead isn't cleared yet. I still need work, or I need to make this YouTube thing a full time gig, and for that I need a dedicated space and still more equipment. So I'm leaving this campaign up, slightly modified, so you can still support what I do with a one-time donation if you want.
This ain't no sob story. Yes, I'm out of work, but I'm not playing the victim. But this also isn't a gofundme with nothing more than a feel-goody-goody for you. Backers get rewards.All backers at any level get the 3D files for a secret decoder ring so you can send and receive message with others in the club, as well as decode secret messages in my videos.
In addition, those who contribute a little more will get their names on tiles that will be built into a contributor mosaic that will be in the background of all my videos going forward. The more you contribute the bigger your tile will be.
