With ongoing medical treatments and a long road ahead, we are asking that you come along side us first and foremost in prayer, and if you can, give. We have both past and current monthly medical expenses and are experiencing firsthand the financial strain it can put on a family, but we serve an amazing God and know that He holds Trax in His hands.
The money we receive will go towards past due medical bills and future medical expenses. It will help cover monthly prescription costs, special dietary needs and CF treatments.
I write to you with a full heart... full of gratitude and an overwhelming sense of love to you all. We were blessed yesterday by our amazing friend, Sarah, who put on an auction on Trax's behalf to help raise money for the gofundme account to be used for all his medical needs. Over 35 generous vendors donated items and we have raised almost $3000 so far from this auction with a few hundred more to add from the people who bid but have yet to pay. We are amazed at the outpouring of love and support shown to us for our Trax.
We have also been blessed greatly by another amazing friend, Paulie, who with her son, Tysi, have been making pray4trax necklaces that she has been selling worldwide with all proceeds going to Trax! Talk about amazing!
I am finding it hard to express in words the emotions I am feeling. I am just so overcome with gratitude and thankfulness.
If you know our family well, then you know the struggles we have faced in the past with health, moving, job losses and financial problems. We really could not afford all of Trax's medical needs without all your very generous donations - Thank You!
As always, we covet your prayers for Trax as well as for the rest of our family. It is our prayer that through this journey, we bring awareness to Cystic Fibrosis but also, we give all the glory to God for He alone is the one to be praised in all of this. Thank you Jesus!
There are so many kids and adults who are living with CF... we appreciate all the donations but also, if you feel inclined, donating to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is helpful too. Without help from people like you...like us, they would not be able to make the medical advances they need to find a cure for this disease.
A heartfelt thanks to you all.
We had a clinic visit a couple of weeks ago where they always do a culture swab. We got a call last week from his CF nurse letting us know that there is a trace amount of a bacteria growing in his little body. We were told that we need to get a chest x-ray done on him so that they can see if it has gone to his lungs. We pray it has not.
Also, Trax was diagnosed with Hand Foot and Mouth virus a couple of days ago... he is doing well and seems to be on the mend which I attribute to all the prayer that is going up on his behalf - THANK YOU!
I wanted to let you all know how your money that you have donated is being spent. So far, we have set up a savings account for Trax and his needs with your money that you have so generously given. Every month, we put money in that account and also put some in our checking account for his monthly needs such as prescriptions, food, gas money for clinic visits, etc. We are so grateful to you all as CF is a very expensive disease and we would not be able to afford all his medicine without your help - even with our insurance.
Always, we are thankful for your support and your prayer... it means more to us than we can ever put into words.
God is good, God is big and His mercies are new every morning - Praise HIM!
All our love,
Kassi and Daniel
With my deepest thanks,
Trax is doing well, he's about ready for a new vest so we will be ordering that soon. He still cries during treatments so we're praying that will stop soon. Trax is starting to cruise around furniture and he is in awe of our dog, Ruca - he squeals with delight whenever he sees her. He and Tavvi are really starting to play with each other (mostly pulling hair!) and it is so cute. He is starting to get a little cough which we're wondering if it is his "CF" cough...we see his team next month. Thank you, as always, for your prayers!
Kassi's commotment to Trax and the entire family touched my heart and I want to be part of this community of caring people.
Hi, I'm friends with Marina Nichols, that's how my husband and I heard about Trax's story. When our son was born, we were overjoyed. Two days later the doctors informed us that he was born with a congenital heart defect and was immediately transferred to kaiser in LA where at 3 days old he received a life saving procedure. Long story short, my husband and I were so touched and moved by Trax's story. It reminds us of our own journey with our son. Our hearts ache for your pain and anxiety and we are committed now, to praying for you and your family. Trax is blessed to have you two for parents. God and his people will see your family through this. He has already used Trax's story to touch so many people. Take comfort in knowing that people you don't even know are loving your family and praying for you guys. :)
Hi Kassi I follow your IG account (luksmum) which is how I found out about your gofundmeaccount. It's so beautiful seeing how many people are donating. God is great! May He continue to work in Your favor. God bless baby Trax and the rest of your precious family.
God has chosen your family and he couldn't have chosen better. Always praying for sweet Traxicakes and all of you
