My name is Carmen Correa as ma y know my son Xavier known as Macho recently Silver gloves Regionals this past weekend in Herkimer NY and that qualified him to go to Nationals witch will be held in Independence Missouri the first week of February 2017. I'm reaching out as we need help getting him up there. Any donation whether it be small or big will mean a lot to us and will get us closer to our goal of making this trip possible. His bio follows.. Xavier Correa is from Paterson, New Jersey where he lives with his supportive parents and siblings. Xavier took a liking to boxing at a very young age and it soon became a passion that he has since shared with his father Freddie Correa. Xavier started training at the Paterson YMCA and later extended his training to local gyms where he could expand his knowledge and learn to compete. He trains with Loyalty Boxing Club where he is an inspiration for all who witness his dedication to his craft. Xavier has turned boxing into a lifestyle sometimes spending up to four hours a day around the gym. He posses a warrior’s spirit with a combination of speed, power, and the poise of a ring veteran that allows him to adapt to all styles in the ring. Outside of the ring Xavier is a humble champion who is guided by his powerful faith in God. He has strong family values always priding himself on being a loyal son and brother. Xavier has become a leader at a very young age. He can often be seen offering guidance to his teammates as well as his peers around New Jersey. At the 2016 Junior Olympic National Championships, Xavier burst onto the National stage with only 14 bouts on his record. He battled his way to four straight victories capturing the Gold Medal and National Championship. Xavier Correa is currently ranked #1 in the Nation at 75lbs. Was recently awarded Boxer of the year in the 2016 NJ Boxing Hall of Fame also just won State and Regional Silver Gloves Tournament.With his boxing career virtually just beginning, there are sure to be an endless amount of shining moments ahead for this young champion.
