350 Christmas Packages for Homeless

Hi there,
My name is Rebecca Nobrega, Co-Anchor, CTV Northern Ontario’s 5pm newscast and CEO & Founder of “Aspire to Inspire with bbnobrega".
My mission is to serve individuals who need a helping hand..for the second year in a row! Over the next couple of months, I want to spread awareness of homelessness in Sudbury by creating 350 Christmas care packages.
Last year, I made 100 packages and am looking to do even more. This will only be possible with your help! The care packages consist of a number of basic necessities including: hats, scarves, gloves, socks, non-perishable foods, deodorant, soap, a comb, tampons, sweaters, a book and toothbrushes.I would also like to prepare animal care packages containing such items as a bag of food, a toy, treats, blankets, collars and much more.
My love of giving started very young. As a child, I would help my mom create loot bags which we would drop off to children in shelters. The thought of them not having toys to play with on a daily basis, let alone on Christmas day, broke my heart. I would grab my untouched bin of toys and demanded that they be wrapped and brought to a shelter.
I want to give back and show these individuals how loved they are. I am excited to announce Aspire to Inspire with bbnobrega’s drive has the support of CTV Northern Ontario and the United Way.
I am reaching out to you today, seeking monetary donations to help me create a well-stocked gift bag with all basic necessities for the homeless and items to relieve furry friends at the animal shelters. Please look at the video from last years drive, along with the pictures to get an idea of the amazing cause you will be part of!
