2019 People's Climate March (Everett, WA)
Support local environmental and climate change awareness and help build an informed and resilient Snohomish County community! The intention for the funds generated by this "Go-Fund-Me" is to support the annual People’s Climate March - Everett, Washington (March and Rally). The funds will be used to create a successful event (rent canopies, sound system rental, etc. as well as provide promotional materials and generally defray the costs of this event). The Amphitheater at the Snohomish County Courthouse Plaza has a stage and we'll provide canopies, welcome station, voter registration station, microphone podium, chairs/tables, PA sound system, etc. We have great speakers and musical entertainment scheduled. This event is being planned by 350 Everett – a local climate grassroots group aligned with 350.org. Our community organizers are skilled volunteers, having planned and facilitated several recent civic/community events, including the annual Earth Day/People’s Climate March, Rise for Climate Jobs & Justice Chautauqua, Sunset at the Salish Sea, and North Sound Progressive People’s Summit and organized and/or assisted in others along with local grassroots groups and organizations. We are committed stewards of our community and use event donations wisely. We are a welcoming and inclusive group!
Saturday, April 13th, the 2019 Earth Day People’s Climate March, a March for the Planet, will be held in Everett, Washington. The event will be March, Rally, Music & Fun - held at the Snohomish County Courthouse Plaza and Amphitheater, beginning at 9 a.m. Local civic, community and faith-based leaders will be speaking at the event after we return from a short Sidewalk March (less than a mile). It is a family-friendly community event.
The event coincides with many Earth Day celebrations throughout the month of April. The motto of 350 Everett is “Build a Better Future. Local Climate Action.” Our event goal is to build an informed community through engagement and participation. We are inviting progressive groups to table, with a focus of the day toward environment and climate change.

Snohomish County Courthouse Plaza & Amphitheater is located in downtown Everett at 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, WA 98201 and is on a bus line and has lots of parking available, too. (Please consider using transit, carpools, bike or walk to the downtown event!)

WE ARE IN NEED OF IMMEDIATE START-UP FUNDING - reserving rentals (sound equipment, canopies, etc.) requires significant funds; please consider a donation today and ask your groups/organizations to do the same. It will add up quickly and grow a stronger environmental community!
