Friends, this is a very difficult situation that requires your prayers, positive support and financial support if possible.
On April 2nd, our dear friend Donna Nieto checked into the hospital for a simple surgery. Unfortunately, due to many complications there were 3 more follow-up surgeries, and as it stands today, Donna is in ICU fighting for her life. A tracheotomy was required in order for her to be able to breathe. It was a shock to all closely involved how quickly she has deteriorated, but nobody has lost hope and we are confident of a full recovery at some point.
Donna and her husband Carlos have 2 wonderful children and 2 beautiful granddaughters. Their son, Ryan, is in the military serving his country in Korea.
Donna and Carlos are true advocates for abandoned animals as they have selflessly fostered hundreds of dogs for rescue groups, including puppies, pregnant mammas, senior dogs and others with special needs. They have volunteered at adoption events and have spent countless hours picking up and dropping off those unfortunate animals in need.
And now in her time of need we are asking for your help. Carlos is the sole provider for his family but has not been able to work for the last 3 weeks due to Donna’s grave medical condition, and given her current state, there’s no telling when she will make her recovery that we are all so hoping for.
We are asking you to please donate what you can pay for the medical bills and other expenses that have been incurred to date. Thank you so much for any assistance you can give in this critical hour.
