Medical Mission: Dominican Republic

Hi, friends and family! As many of you know, on April 22nd, I will be going on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic with 18 of my classmates, some faculty from my school, and Seeds Ministries. While we are there, we will be staying in Barahona and we will travel to the Batays (Haitian communities) and Dominican villages to set up medical clinics for the residents of nearby areas. We will have the opportunity to work with doctors and pharmacists while we are there who will be able to update us on the progress of this area even after we come home. I am really looking forward to the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives while experiencing a new culture and advancing my education! This experience will help me in my future career as a nurse by preparing me to better help people who have a different cultural background than I do, and I'll get the chance to practice my skills. If you can, please help me reach my goal! Costs of this trip will cover all transportation (both air and land), food and lodging, medical evacuation insurance, medicines for distribution in the clinics, teaching materials and trip insurance.
