Furnace Is Fried - Feeling Frozen

My name is Zach Monteith and I've got a broken furnace, no savings, and bad, bad credit. The boiler in our home is only 10 years old, but has started to completely come apart. It reminds me of a car that always has a new problem right after you get it out of the shop. This appliance is responsible for both heating our home and providing hot water. My mother and I have still not recovered financially from the death of my father last year and now the furnace has gone into intensive care. My mom is down in Texas helping my grandmother as she fights cancer and moves into a nursing home. This combination of issues has left us without any viable options for replacing the furnace as we approach the coldest part of winter here in northern Maine. Some friends suggested this campaign as a way to possibly get some help. I hate being in a position to ask, but believe that there is a way somehow.
