Power the Protest with Solar Energy

My wife, step-daughter and I have tried to be active in various causes over the past several years. We have donated money, time and signed petitions but found ourselves wondering what happens to those efforts. We've decided to take a proactive approach and to raise as much as we can to buy supplies and drive them out to the water protectors in North Dakota. You may have seen campaigns like this, ours is a little different in that we want to bring supplies that are based on or run on renewable energy. It seems hypocritical to fuel the protest with the same oil being protested! So we are raising money for solar generators, solar panels, solar heaters, heated jackets and phone charging bays that can be powered by the solar generators. Solar showers for the spring, and then of course tents, blankets and sleeping bags. Any donation will help. We plan on leaving out December 16th and staying until the 20th. We're hoping you already recognize how vital the effort of the water protectors is and might see our effort as unique and worthwhile. Thanks for taking the time to read about us.
