A Home For Javonte And His Family!

Donation protected
I am the mother to a profoundly autistic child who attends a MOCI classroom at Carmen Ainsworth middle school. A few months ago Javonte began attending the same class and immediately made friends with my daughter. Since he began attending despite his autism he consistently plays mother hen to my child and attempts to help her with her work and calm her if she becomes anxious. Recently I saw a story by Angie Hendershot on ABC 12 titled "pictures of hope" that featured Javonte. That story alerted me to the fact that Javonte is living at the Flint shelter in Flint MI with his mother and 5 sisters. I can not put into words how deeply it has touched me that despite having the weight of the world on his shoulders that he comes in everyday wanting to help others. I, along with my family have decided to forego our usual Christmas, and will be using the money we would have spent on presents for each other to support getting Javonte and his family into a home of their own!We can think of nothing that would be more meaningful to us than knowing that they are able to be together and celebrate Christmas in their own home. I am hoping that everyone will contribute whatever they can to help make this dream a reality. All funds will be used to secure a home and purchase necessities that will be needed! Please watch the video that got all of this started! http://www.abc12.com/content/news/Pictures-of-Hope-held-for-third-year-in-Flint-402296326.html
