Kat Wisniewski Healing Fund

Kat Wisniewski is my dear friend. I have known her for 6 years. In those 6 years she has done some amazing things. She got married, changed jobs to pursue her art, wrote a book, and many more. She and her husband Jose Sanchez hosted wonderful Halloween parties. They have vastly different tastes in music, he eats meat, though Kat does not. She has a beautiful Afghan Hound named Sesame, and an orange tabby named Nacho. Kat has a great love for animals and has made life choices to honor that love. Jose has also become a great love. They got married in Rick Balyess's restaurant downtown. I made her wedding dress and the vest Jose wore. It was a wonderful event. She has been an artist as long as she can remember. She discovered chainmail jewelry making and never looked back. She made metal, rubber, and glass come alive and look amazing. She made a rubber ring bikini. She did not stop there. She taught classes, came up with the ever popular Glass Caterpiller, and even more designs. With her business Elemental Art Jewelery she sold her treasures at jewelery and craftshows and on Etsy. Then she got it figured out. She wanted to write a book. She worked for at it for at least 2 years, but she got it. She also started Elemental Photography. She has become a talented jewelry photographer, she needed that for her book. 2016 has been a crazy year. Earlier in the year we lost the artist, Prince. Kat was a huge fan. This November Kat, Jose, and Kat's mom took a trip to Paisley Park. She got to see Prince's home and some other sites in Minnesota. Sadly she did not feel well for her trip. When they drove back to Chicago she slept the whole way. She still did not feel better. The morning of November 15, 2016 everything changed. While Jose got ready for work Kat was not very responsive. He had her rushed to the hospital. She has a diagnosis of meningitis, and sadly many unknowns at this time. She needs prayers that she beats this. She has classes to teach. She has to write another book. She has animals that need her. She has many friends that need her. She has many family members that love her and want her whole again. She has her husband that she promised to grow old with, she needs to fulfill that promise too. Kat and Jose will need your help. Kat's healing, recovery, and rehabilitation will be costly please help them get through it.
