Institution Vision Nouvelle Haiti

I have been working with the Institution Vision Nouvelle and its Director Gerald Jean Baptiste for many years, and travel with Haitian and Canadian colleagues there regularly to provide professional development workshops.

This progressive school has embraced a student-centred philosophy, banning corporal punishment and dedicating itself to becoming a centre for professional development for high schools across the Northern Department. They are doing truly impressive work.
With our newest research partnership, we have recently been able to find funds to install solar powered generators to electrify the school.

Despite these developments, the school desperately needs funds to put towards its regular bills (rent, salaries) as well as to subsidize the creation of a library and to support the lunch program.
$10,000 would meet immediate needs, and $20,000 would create a secure cushion for the future.
Any amount will help, and will have an immediate impact on the education and well being of the students.

They are really special kids, and are so motivated to learn and to improve their country. Let's pull together to ensure that this innovative school can continue to do its good work!
