Help us buy blankets for winter

My partner and I left our lives and careers in Miami, to move to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to help my family and spend time more time with them. While helping my family, we realized that there are many families that need our help. Zimbabwe is the second poorest country in the world and unemployment is high. Many people earn a single family income of less than US$250/month. Rent for a month costs a minimum of $100 and food prices are similar to those in the USA. People here are struggling to make ends meet yet they continue to laugh and smile even though it's not easy for them.
My partner and I recently dontated matresses, blankets, plates, utensils, chairs and tables to two families. Zimbawe is cold in the winter with temperatures reaching 30 'F. Houses have no insulation.
Edmund has family of 5, had only one matress (which we donated a year ago) and had only two light blankets. Lebo's family of three also sleep on one matress and have very few possessions. Theses two families each make a single family income of $250/month which is barely enough to cover rent and food. Edmund's three children go to junior schools costing a total of approximately $300/year per child for school fees and uniforms. Lebo has one girl in high school which costs approximately $500/year and one boy in junior school which costs $300 for school fees and uniforms.
We intend to raise $1700 by August 31st, 2016, to pay for these 5 children's school expenses so that their parents can use their money for other necessities. If we raise more than $1700 or if we have money left over, we will find other families to help.
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe until I was 17 when I received a tennis scholarship to the University of Miami. Miami is my home now but Zimbabwe will always be in my heart. I realize that I have been blessed and we want to give back. Now that we are back living in Zimbabwe, we see a way to help. Dahli and I will personally pay the school fees and buy the school uniforms for these 5 children and post pictures for all donars to see. All donars will receive at least one letter from these children via whatasapp if you can provide your phone numbers.
The need here is great. The people are wonderful, kind and humble. We want to give back and hope that you will too. The children are so grateful even to receive a Coke and some sweets as seen in the photo above. They love to go to school and wear their uniforms. It makes them feel a part of something. Getting an education is their best way out of povery. Please help us help them.
