Donate in Memory of "Chungo"

Our family tragically lost someone very dear to us on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.  John "Chungo" Ramos, Jr., was 47 years old.  He suffered a major stroke and was taken from us way too soon.

Chungo served as a Police Offer with the NYPD for the better part of a decade.  During the 911 attacks, he was called in to help rescue efforts.  After 911, he decided to move his family to Texas to start a new life.  Shortly after arriving, he applied with the Texas PD and soon became a law enforcement officer in the town he lived in and held that title until his passing.

Chungo left behind his two children, Tony, age 3 and Sakura, age 1 1/2.  Chungo is also survived by his mother, Brunilda Santiago, father, John Ramos, Sr., and brother, Anthony "Tony" Ramos.

Unfortunately, his immediate and extended family members do not have the financial means to fund Chungo a proper burial service.  His immediate family are planning on having a service for him in the next week or two and are asking  extended family and friends that knew Chungo to make any monetary donation so we can help Chungo be honored as the hero he was.

On behalf of his immediate family and extended family, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for all the prayers, condolences, and support during this very difficult time.  We truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you!!

Sincerely,
Vanessa Ortiz-Perez
