JADYN'S STORY TO DATE
I am writing you this letter in regards to a local family in Midland that is in dire need and desperately needs your generosity.

Jadyn  Bourcier is now a 9 year old girl from Midland Ontario Canada that is terminally ill with a rare disease called Microvillus Inclusion Disease. 140 people in the world have this disease. Microvillus Inclusion Disease is a disease where the small intestine does not absorb nutrients to fulfill the body’s requirements.  Jadyn needs to be feed by an IV solution which is called TPN.  TPN is hard for the body to process it can cause damage to other organs like the kidneys and liver.   Jadyn has been given 1-2 year life span as per doctors.  When Jadyn was 9 months old she had a transplant it being an 18 hour surgery and her body rejected the implant. While healing in hospital she contracted Meningitis and an infection, had many seizures & survived with some brain damage. Now, Jadyn`s liver and kidneys are failing and she needs 5 organs with up to a year wait and only a 30% chance of survival even with the transplants.  She is now in Sick Kids Hospital where she is not doing well.  Jadyn’s liver was failing and they have now given her 5 blood transfusions and her own nurse. If she does become well enough and does get to leave hospital and go home, she will never be the same and will become sicker over time.

The Bourcier Family has had an uphill fight from the beginning. Their son Troy passed away at the age of 3 of a brain tumour though he did have the Microvillus Inclusion Disease also.  Their daughter Alexis at 9 months had to have surgery on her skull due to Cranio Synostosis, her soft spot fused early.  Then at 4 years old Alexis had reconstructive hip surgery and the doctors made a new hip socket due to her hip deteriorating.  Jadyn’s father then had a heart attack from the loss of his son and that’s more than a father can bear. This whole Family is emotionally drained and distressed; there is severe depression and anxiety to all members where they do not want to leave the house at times, but they are a strong team and support one another.

These parents have had no break and now they face financial burden of providing for a sick child in the city and their 3 other children in Midland.  This family were asked to leave there home due to the home owner selling his rental property. This family had nowhere to go and on the day of their move they got a call that a rental was available but at extremely high cost and high utilities.  With the extreme panic of possibly separating their family and with no their options this family moved into that property.  They cannot afford the cost of this property and will have to move their family of 6 again.  This family desperately needs affordable housing immediately.  We are trying to prevent them from moving out of town due to all of their resources and support being here to help with daily living.

Their other children Austin, Tyson, Alexis & Jadyn have grown roots and have already had so much of their world turned upside down.  Mom and Dad are trying their very best to provide structure in their home and fear that with cost of their living expenses they may have to up root or do the unthinkable and split their family up. No parent at this tragic time should need to fear that they could be homeless. We already know how strong, loving and caring both parents are to have gone through all the heart breaking and unbearable events a Mother and Father could possibly go through.  This family needs to continue providing support for one another and consistency.  At this time with Jadyn being given such a short life span Dad, Chris has taken a leave from work called Parents of Critically ill Children.  Chris is a hard working Father and his leave is coming to an end and he will have to return to work at such a crucial time of Jadyn’s illness.  Mom April, will have to attend to all of their children’s needs on her own while Dad is away working nights.

We are trying to relieve them of any extra stress by reliving their financial worries, finding them a home at a low cost for their family of 6, finding daily living costs to cover the expenses of Jadyn’s stay in Sick Kids and we also know for the near future we will have to cover expenses of the funeral for Jadyn.

Knowing this story and not trying to find help to give this little girl the best life ever with what limited time she has left, we could not live with ourselves if we didn't find this family help.

Time is priceless in this situation.

Your generosity can go so far.  We feel strongly that this is our #1 family that needs our 100% this Christmas in our community.

We would like to thank you for your amazing Support and Generosity because of you Jadyn has been blessed to complete her bucket list.  We rose over $2000, this went all towards Jadyn on activities and this little girls wishes.    Jadyn is still each day fighting the fight of her life.  It is a never ending battle for her family.  Jadyn's health is still so fragile.  Jadyn's kidneys and liver condition is still rapidly deteriorating each day.  At this time she still desperately needs 5 organs in one transplant.  We are so grateful to have Jadyn back home it is only a matter of time before she will be back at Sick Kids Hospital.  Without the transplant she will fall ill over and over until her body is to weak to fight the fight.  We are now on a mission and asking you to please show your Love and Support once again.  Are mission is for Jadyn's comfort of living and for her future arrangements.  This Family is still having great difficulties finding an affordable home that fits a family of 6.  Donations will be helping the Family in paying towards the home in Midland and for Jadyn's visits to Sick Kids Hospital and for future arrangements.

Please help terminally ill Jadyn

Jadyn is 9 years old. Jadyn has a rare diease called (TPN). At 9 months old and Jadyn's 1st transplant, an 18 hour surgery, her and her family struggle began with Jadyn, Her body rejected the implant and the implant had to be removed. Also, at that time Jadyn had older brother that oddly enough had the same rare diease and was going through his own difficulties at the time. After having the transplant removed Jadyn contracted an infection in ICU and then Meningitis which gave  her seizures and left some brain damage. On top of that her big brother Troy found out he had a brain tumor and sadly passed away 2009 at the age of 3 and a half years old and her wonderful supportive father had a heart attack but luckily her Dad pulled through.  This family has also been asked to move out of their home because the home owners are selling their house, which will leave this family homeless.
At this time Jadyn is currently in the early stages of liver and kidney failure. She has been listed for transplant but the list is long and it could be anytime from now to a year or longer for an organ.  Jadyn needing more then 2 transplants and the organs would have to be donated by only one person, her chance of survival is very slim.  Unfortunately, Jadyn has been given a timeline of 1 to 2 years of survival. Please help this family with their struggle and make everyday the most Positive and Memorable for this family and this little girl. Any amount or donation to Jadyn's Bucket list will help. Thank you In advance for your understanding and generosity
