Medical Fund-MacDonald & Kindred

For those of you that are not aware of the horrific accident yesterday, August 3, 2016, our dear friend, Doug MacDonald was involved in a head on vehicle accident on Los Osos Valley Road and Foothill Blvd in San Luis Obispo, Ca.  His work van was completely demolished. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, after being stabilized at our local hospital, Doug was airlifted to Stanford Medical Center where he has undergone one of many surgeries to come.  He had massive injuries to his lower extremities among other injuries and while working through the night last night, the doctors were able to save his legs. Doug will be in ICU for at least a few weeks. We have no idea how long his recovery will take or what other complications may still arise. It will be a long road to recovery but we feel so fortunate that Doug is still with us. Jethro, Doug’s ever present hound dog copilot was not in the van and is safe and sound! 



Liam, his 12-year-old son, Carlene, his 18-year-old daughter, and Krista are on the road to be by his side at Stanford Medical Center in the Bay Area.

As most of you know, Doug has been a successful self-employed painter for 28 years.  He has three employees; Andrew, D.J. and Fidel.

Doug has given of his time to the community for many years as a Little League baseball coach.  He loves his community and is always there to help out whenever needed.  This donation page is an incredible way for our friends and family to help the MacDonald family in their time of need.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help that you could provide to this good family.  We will do our best to update you all as often as possible on Doug’s progress.
