Our School Store

An 8th grade student approached me in the hall this week with $20 Panther Payouts (school currency) ready to make a deal. In our school store, we sell a lunch party for $20 Payouts that allows a student and 2 friends to eat outside with music and games. This student asked if we could include a pizza for another $20 Payout. I really want to say yes!

I work in a high poverty school in downtown Charleston, SC with amazing kids that want to succeed despite the many struggles they face. Persevering through these struggles is sometimes hard, but essential to their success. A little encouragement goes a long way, and that's how we use our Panther Payout system. When students do great things we recognize their accomplishments with school "dollars" they can exchange for items in the school store.
