After graduating college, I asked my daughter,Chaunteil Carte',  what are you going to do? She responded, I want to be a Pro Bass angler. I figured she might as well go for it now so I introduced her to a 20-year bass pro who has become her mentor.

Instead of doing the norm, local tournaments etc., she Chaunteil JUMPED in and joined two PRO circuits. On the way to her first tournament the engine blew up in her car. With her determination she made it, slept in her car for two hours and went fishing. Her first fishing tournament ever had over 200 boats. WOW!

She soon realized it takes a lot of money for her sport, but she has paid 90% of it herself. She is determined, paying entry fees, tackle, travel, and all other expenses. This is her first year as a co-angler bass fisher-woman. Most people work up to that level working with the same Pro in tournaments. She never knew what Pro partner she would get. I believe they can be very cutthroat and rude. All I told her, is do your best. I was so happy to see her qualify for Lucas Oil Western Classic Pro/AM Championship. This tournament through wild west bass trails will be televised in January of next year.

She has had a TON of obstacles to make these tournaments. SHE DID IT!

I thought it is was over for this year.
Then she got invited to the Olympics of bass fishing: The Forrest wood cup invitational as a PRO.... something people work their whole career to get into.  She did it her first year fishing.
To enter the Forest World Cup so early has never been done by a girl, I guess nobody has been as crazy to jump in at this level. Everyone thought she was crazy. I said it's up to you. She said it's a chance of LIFETIME. A big HONOR.  She knows she has a great deal to learn, but she said she'll try her best if she gets there. Truth be known, she has paid a lot of my debt off that she accumulated to get here this year.  However, it takes allot of money for this Idaho girl to pull a boat, travel back east, and then pay the rest of the entry fees, insurance, lodging expenses, boat wrapping etc.

This has been a dream of hers since she was little. Personally I was terrified of her not jumping into the job market with her bachelor’s degree in business administration right away, which she earned through scholarships alone. I have confidence in her, even in a sport dominated by 98-99 % men. She LOVES fishing. I REALLY, REALLY want to help her to make fishing her carrier.  I appreciate any assistance.

She has to have all monies in and everything ready by
September 28th for the Forest World Cup on October 20th.

She put all her money down already, $1000 nonrefundable. She needs another $3000 minimum for entry fees by that date.

Then $2,500 to wrap the boat (mandatory), and even more for travel, lodging, tackle etc.  If we get more than we need it will be used to help her fulfill her dream and hopefully let her work less hours and fish more. As a Nisqually tribal member the preservation and protection of fish has always been vital to any fishing endevours.

Any help would very appreciated
