Family Means Everything
Everything happened so fast. One day he had a tooth pulled, and it wouldnt stop bleeding. A week later we are told hes has MDS RAEB2 and a prognosis of only months. 2 months later we are told he isnt healthy enough to survive a bone marrow transplant. A few cycles of chemo and they will re-evaluate. Our lives became an ongoing prayer each day for God's favor and mercy. There was no planning life anymore. Just an endless need for blood transfusions & medications. Fevers and hospital stays. Days missed from work, bills adding up and our family struggling just to take care of one of our own. Because it matters. Because it was the right thing to do, because we have hope. I was told so many times to start a GoFundMe page when my husband got diagnosed in Jan 2016. There was so much to process.. and so much that we weren't ready to process. In March when we were told a bone marrow transplant was our best chance at getting through this and he wasnt healthy enough to survive it our family pulled itself together and said, "We trust God's plan." And as of today, God has seen us through the toughest year our family has had to endure, AND STILL we keep our faith & hope alive. Now his condition has progressed and we are told he must start induction therapy right away, and if successful a bone marrow transplant has a 54% chance to cure him. But he would have to relocate to Richmond over 100 miles from home, for at least 6 months to recover. So much to go through for our tough little family, and still so much more on the horizon. But we still have faith in "His plan". So i begin this campaign... hoping that through our message of strength in Love, Faith, and Family our plight will inspire compassion & charity in those who want to help.
