Help Grace stay in the U.S!

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Grace. I'm 22 from Lincolnshire, U.K and I'm currently studying for my masters degree at Northeastern University in Boston. I remember the day I got accepted into NEU, I screamed and cried, and cried some more! I have never felt more proud of myself. Moving across the pond was a challenge but made much easier by my second family and friends (my boyfriend Kyle is American and we had been long distance for over a year) who made the transition feel like home. It's an honour to wake up every day to the man I love and study the subject I'm so passionate about.

Being an international student doesn't come cheap. I recently found out I'm being overcharged for healthcare (a requirement for my international student status) and can't get a refund until February. If I don't pay the costs I could end up being terminated and losing my chance to work for a year after I graduate. A deep panic set in. How am I going to do this?!

My Dad is my best friend and biggest support, he has supported me throughout all my education and all my dreams - no matter how ridiculous or big. I am so grateful. But we need help. With me being able to only get a job on campus due to my student visa restrictions, it's hard to make money last. It's hard for us to meet the costs that being an international graduate student requires. I interned in New York which had always been a dream of mine. And in order to financially make this work I stayed with incredibly kind friends and got the Megabus every week at 5am(?!?!) on a Tuesday and got home at 11.30pm on a Thursday. Some weeks I ate once a day to save money.

I am scheduled to graduate in December and would hate to see all the work I've put into this degree, the boundaries I've crossed and accomplishments I've achieved go to waste if I can't meet these final costs. I've been helped by so many kind people over here and I've sometimes been overwhelmed by the kindness of people I've met through Kyle, through school or those I've never met.

Please help me continue to pursue my dreams in the U.S. This means the world to me and I promise I'll do you all proud.
