Arctic Natural Medicine Clinic

Donation protected
Canada's northern communities are the least served for health care in our country. Until three years ago the people of Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut supported an acupuncturist, however since she left she has not been replaced.
The population of 9,000 works mostly for the federal and territorial governments (desk jobs) or in sustainable wildlife harvesting. Both result in chronic pain and fatigue. Not to mention depression and anxiety resulting from long months of cold and darkness. Wait times for mental health workers can be one to two years.
I would like your support to travel to to Iqaluit to set up a permanent natural health clinic, providing acupuncture, herbal medicine and psychotherapy.
I have been in private practice since 1988, providing psychotherapy and training in psychotherapy in Eastern Ontario, and herbal medicine and acupuncture since 2000.
Housing and travel in Iqaluit are very expensive, so I am asking for your support to get me up there and sustain me for the first couple months. I already have all the equipment I need to run a clinic, but shipping to Iqaluit from Ottawa is also very expensive.
I thank you all in supporting me in this venture.
