Save the Sweetwater Creek Bunnies!

On 8/7/16 nine domesticated bunnies were discovered abandoned at Sweetwater Creek State Park in Lithia Springs, GA. Park. Rangers found them at shelter #6 where it appeared people had been feeding them. One rabbit was found dead later that day by a ranger. We were notified of the problem on 8/8/16 and set out to capture the buns. One was picked up by our contact at Sweetwater Park - Kaycee. The bunny was so lethargic and sick it was easy to catch and he was taken straight to the vet. Our volunteers Kate and Kirck met up with Kaycee around 5:45pm and were able to catch the remaining 7 rabbits in less than two hours!
Normally we can vet rabbits for about $100 each (includes spay/neuter, vet check, tooth check and trim if needed). We are allowing a little extra for these rescues as they have been outdoors and may need extra care. Please help us care for these babies! We are also in desperate need of foster homes in metro Atlanta if you have some love and a bit of space for a bunny! All supplies can be supplied!
