Gunner Gerke

Gunner, my nephew stuck his hand in a meat grinder and was life flighted to Portland Oregon for hand surgery, it was to traumatized to be fixed. Gunner had surgery this morning, the surgeon said it went great! They were unable to save any fingers and he lost his thumb! He has his hand and he will have movement of his wrist. The surgeon said he will be able to do everything someone with fingers does. He will be released once he is able to deal with the pain and handle oral pain medicine.
